New state of the art infrared heating system

posted on 29 Nov 2011 by Nicole Goodwin

Well, the builders are in full swing creating our fantastic new studio – I was over there today and the space is starting to take shape. All the framing for the walls are up, and I was able to get a really good idea of just how massive and amazing the studio is going to be. We can’t wait for you to see it!

I thought I’d take this opportunity to share with you some information about our new infrared heating system – Heat-On Radiant Heating – new technology in the field of space heating that utilizes efficient synthetic wire heating elements on a ceramic heating plate attached to the ceiling.

Some of the benefits of this type of heating are:

  • Low wattage, so huge energy savings and better for the environment
  • Heats surfaces rather than the air
  • Low allergen – provides warmth without creating dust or germs, allergens or other troublesome airborne materials
  • Able to maintain a more even heat, so we’ll be able to regulate the temperature to a comfortable limit.
  • Emits healing infrared rays, which our bodies need to improve metabolic functions of our cells and promote a healthy immune system

Health benefits of infrared heating on the human body

  • Stimulates increase blood circulation, regeneration and oxygenation
  • Promotes elimination of fats, chemicals, and toxins from the blood
  • Stimulates enzyme activity and metabolism
  • Promotes rebuilding of injured tissue, increases growth of cells, protein synthesis – necessary during tissue repair and regeneration.
  • Relieves nervous tension
  • Strengthens the immune system by stimulating increased production of white blood cells

How much heat?

We aim to heat the room to between 25-30 degrees Celsius – a comfortable heat that allows all of the above health benefits to be available, provide a more soothing stretch to the muscles and soft tissues of the body, and help to detox the body.
